A Scarf For You

Poem included with the gift of a scarf

I made a scarf for my boyfriend.  When I finished, I noticed it had several flaws. I was inspired to write this poem which I included with his gift.

A Scarf For You

In this scarf, like me,

Imperfections are found.

But wait!  You will see,

In time. . . we may come around

Of flaws be free,

Another scarf I may knit

And I, also, could be,

For your acceptance, fit

But wait!  You will see.

Likely it will stay our bane,

Both of this scarf and me

We will inevitably remain. . . the same

I thought this was a great idea to give along with a knitted present.  If you would like a copy of this poem on a post card, click on the photo.

  1. I love the idea of gifting an original poem with your hand-knit project. I’m sure he loved them both!

I’m not sure, but he may have enjoyed the poem more than the scarf! :)
