I made a scarf for my boyfriend. When I finished, I noticed it had several flaws. I was inspired to write this poem which I included with his gift.
A Scarf For You
In this scarf, like me,
Imperfections are found.
But wait! You will see,
In time. . . we may come around
–
Of flaws be free,
Another scarf I may knit
And I, also, could be,
For your acceptance, fit
–
But wait! You will see.
Likely it will stay our bane,
Both of this scarf and me
We will inevitably remain. . . the same
–
I thought this was a great idea to give along with a knitted present. If you would like a copy of this poem on a post card, click on the photo.
