Some day
–
Some day I’ll have time to sit,
To ponder life, ply my wit.
Time for leisure, time to bring
The time to paint, write or sing.
Some day, would love to travel,
See sites at which to marvel.
–
Time went on, I kept livin’,
Not taking the time given
To enjoy passions that burned
So hot inside, for things yearned.
Always sure, there’d be a day
When I could live life my way.
–
Old and gray, now retired.
Full of plans, long inspired.
Time for action, time to do,
Thwarted by hours so few.
Health is failing, moving slow.
Began too late, I now know.
