Poem: Eighteen

Eighteen

Of my past life, sat and pondered.

Deep into past, my thoughts wandered.

As a child, stubborn and rash

Moved at eighteen, soon as had cash.

 –

Put lease on flat, then bought a car.

Learned on my pay could not go far.

Working harder, back to school went.

On better job mind soundly bent.

 –

Independence was gained on own.

Quest accomplished wisdom has grown

Now My child, stubborn and rash

Moves at eighteen, soon as has cash. . .
