Poem about grief

Grief

No crying at death’s bed.

Could not find tears to shed.

Wanted told, what to do.

Your strong, instead heard coo.

Watched close, forbid to think.

Lost, hidden sorrow. . . sink.

Robbed of grief, such a loss.

Upon sadness grows moss.

Cold I feel, no grief done.

Am I strong? I’ve not won.

Stripped I’ve been, of my heart,

Broken, non-stop, from start.

Save soul from destruction,

Shell built, strong construction.

No one sees hurt I hold.

Head up high, living bold.
