I meet with fellow artists every Friday on Zoom. We call it Zoom with June. Last week I decided to paint my self portrait from the image on the zoom call. I enjoyed it and thought it turned out well. So we declared the January Art Theme to be Self Portraits.
This week I painted another. I really liked it but didn’t like the background. So I tried to fix it. I think I made it worse!
The background is now in the back ground, but it lost its airiness. I think I’ll toss this one and start a new one next Friday. Next time I’ll use different colors and a softer background.
