Accepted into two shows!

Sky Gazer, watercolor by June Nash

I entered this painting into the Sky and Space Exhibit at the Anton Art Center in Mt Clemens. The opening is on January 18, 2025 between 1-3pm at 125 Macomb Pl. The opening event promises to be an awesome event. I’ll be munching on appetizers and desserts as I stroll through the exhibit and listen for the awards announcement.

I reworked this painting since I originally painted it. I have learned a lot since then and feel that darkening the sky and his shirt has improved it.

Toadal Knot, Clay, ceramic by June Nash

Toads don’t normally hang out in groups, but when they do they are called a Knot. So I called this set Toadal Knot. I love the expressions on their faces!

Black and White Ensemble, Clay, ceramics by June Nash

I especially like the big daddy and the little baby in this family of penguins.

Both of these sculpture sets were accepted into the Grosse Pointe Artists Association’s My Team Exhibit. They will be on display at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lakeshore Dr., between January 22 and March 7.

Please feel free to come out for the opening on Saturday, January 25 at 2pm. It is always a pleasure to attend these openings where the exhibition Judge talks about his selections and artists in the show will often discuss their work.

  2. June, This is wonderful. I’m so happy for you.

Today we rehung the picture I bought from you. Patricia decided a brighter frame would set it off better than the dark=stained wood frame. This is your picture, hanging by our front door.

However, we have a problem, to wit: what is your personal email address? Can’t get it to you any other way. I promise, NO SPAM!

Watch for an email from Patricia Larlham

Wishing for your best possible future, Chuck Larlham ________________________________

      1. I got it. Patricia has it now and will respond to it. That response will have a photo or two of your painting hanging in a place of honor.

          1. It may not come until tomorrow… light’s poor right now, and household lighting is reflecting in the picture. We’ll try again tomorrow in midafternoon.
