Poem: St Nick Stuck

Merry Christmas! This is my dog Lexie sitting next to my Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

St Nick Stuck

There is an old man named St Nick.

Whose middle has become quite thick.

Down the flue he drops.

Then suddenly stops.

Eat too many cookies you’ll stick.

June Nash

If Santa got stuck in your chimney last night, be a sport and help him out so he can finish his deliveries.

Merry Christmas to All!

Poem About my granddaughter

Kindergarten Basketball

There once was a girl who could run.

At basket ball, running, has fun.

Score, she has not yet.

Ball can’t reach the net.

Hands held high, defense plied, we won!

.                                    – June Nash

I felt compelled to write a quasi limerick about my granddaughter.  She is learning to play basketball.  I went to her game a few days ago.

Poem about my grandson

Crawling Baby

There once was a boy on blue carpet

Crawling, not toddling, not ready yet

Constantly he’ll talk

But still does not walk.

Catching him at this pace, is no sweat.

.                                    – June Nash

Another quasi Limerick.  This time my grandson is my inspiration.

Poem on Cleaning up Clutter

Clutter

Clean up! That’s clutter! Throw in trash!

All night, cannot sleep, toss and thrash.

My treasure of things,

Old trinkets and rings.

Importance to me, more than cash!
–                       – June Nash

I have been so busy lately, my house is a mess!

The clutter is no longer making room for me.

Have you ever been told by others that you need to just throw things out?

 That your treasures are trash?

My quasi limerick.
